After falling on her final run, United States snowboarding star Chloe Kim was stunned by South Korea's 17-year-old Gaon Choi, who scored over 90 to win gold.

Day 6 of the 2026 Milan Cortina Games has featured nine medal events, but Team USA's Chloe Kim was denied a record-breaking gold. Kim finished with a silver as she came up just short of a third straight Olympic gold in the halfpipe final.

Van T'wout overcame heavy favorite William Dandjinou late to claim the victory. No Americans raced for a medal in either event.

South Korea has been projected to grab three gold medals and finish 14th in the medal table at the upcoming Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.
